Notes

2004-12-17 - Information identifying this instrument from the Austin Organs, Inc. web site, accessed December 16, 2004: http://www.austinorgans.com/organ-research.htm. -Database Manager

2021-07-02 - The organ was [presumably] replaced by Orgues Létourneau Limitée of Saint Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, installed in 2000, although its state in the interim is unclear. -Paul R. Marchesano

2024-11-18 - Austin op. 839 must have been built for First Presbyterian's sanctuary at 220 N Church St (Romanesque, Valk & Son, 1892; now Greensboro Historical Mus.), presumably to replace Hook & Hastings op. 1844. The current church at 617 N Elm (Norman Revival, Hobart Upjohn) opened in 1929 with Austin op. 1638. The latter was replaced in 1970 by Möller op. 10649, which yielded in 2000 to Létourneau op. 73/74. -John Ebel
