2018-07-04 - Updated by Sean Haley, listing this website as a source of information: http://www.cunninghampiano.com/can-you-hear-the-difference/.<br> The Austin was completely altered by Cunningham Piano Co. of Philadelphia who retained 17 ranks and interfaced a Rodgers Infinity 361 console. A Youtube video shared by Rich Galassini of Cunningham Piano defies viewers to tell which are the digital voices and which are the real pipes. The acoustic is quite forgiving make the comparison a challenge for uneducated ears. In the demonstration only a single 8- flute stop on a three manuals (the easiest to sell) is played disjointed and separately so as to not lend any clues. It is unknown what, if anything happened to the Austin chestwork, or the remaining pipe work. It is also unknown what level of "refurbishment” was done to the retained pipework. -Database Manager
