2007-01-28 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ is free-standing and encased at the front of the room to the right side of center. The 3-sectional case contains 62 pipes arranged: 13-23-26. The left flat contains pipes 1-13 of the Man. I 8' Principal. Pipes 14-36 of that same rank are in the center flat covering the expression shutters for Man. II. And the right flat contains pipes 1-26 of the Pedal 4' Choralbass. The keydesk is attached to the center section of the case beneath the expressive Man. II division. The organ was designed by Prof. David Dahl [then of Whitworth College] in collaboration with Glenn D. White of Olympic Organ Builders, Seattle, Washington - who also installed and voiced the organ upon its arrival. The organ was dedicated by David P. Dahl on Sunday, March 9, 1969 at 4:30 p.m. in a program featuring J.S. Bach, W.A. Mozart, A. Valente, Francois Couperin, Louis Clerambault, J. Ernst-Bach, Dietrich Buxtehude, M. Drischner, Johannes Brahms, Johann J. Krebs, Flor Peters, Helmut Walcha, and Marcel Dupre. A congregational hymn and a traditional Norwegian folksong: Saeterjentens Sondag were also included. -Database Manager

NOTES
The organ is housed in a free-standing, 3-sectional case. Each section has its own facade
with a combined total of 62 pipes. The left flat is comprised of notes 1-13 of the Man. I
8' Principal. The center flat continued with notes 14-36 of the Man. I 8' Principal. The
right flat contains notes 1-26 of the Pedal 4' Choralbass.

The specification was designed by David P. Dahl in collaboration with Olympic Organ
Builders. Mr. Dahl also played the Dedicatory Recital on March 9, 1969.
