DESCRIPTION OF THE ORGAN
Built by the Austin Organ Company, Hartford, Connecticut
This organ (the 754 instrument built by the Austin Organ Company) has 4 manuals, 59 stops (56 speaking), 35 couplers, 45 pistons and 4 balanced swell pedals.  The total number of pipes is 3456.  The main organ comprises the Great, Choir, Swell, and Pedal organs and is in the organ chamber in the rear of the choir gallery.  The Echo organ is built in a small chamber under the chancel.  The key action is electric throughout, the connections between the main and Echo organs being made by means of cables.
The stops and couplers are manipulated by stop keys arranged in a double row above the manuals. The main organ is on 7 inches wind pressure. the Echo on 5 inches and the wind is suppled by a 10 H.P. “Orgoblo” placed in the east tower room.  All of the stops are adjustable to the various pistions at the keyboard and visibly affect the stop keys.  
The Organ Committee is Mr Francis W. Carpenter,Chairman, Mr Harrisons B. Huntoon and Col. H. Martin Brown.
