2015-01-08 - Updated through online information from Dr. Christopher Urbiel. -- Installed in the 3rd Church Building on this site - Constructed 1887. This organ received a full rebuild in 2012, by the Peebles-Herzog company of Columbus, Ohio. The console, chests, and pipework were restored and revoiced, the console received a Syndyne digital control system, and two alterations were made to the specification: the Pedal 16' Gemshorn was made playable as a manual 16' on the Great, and the Swell Oboe (originally at 4' pitch) was extended to 8' pitch with new pipework from A.R. Schopp's. In 2012, the Austin expression shades were altered to open downward toward the floor of the gallery; in November of 2014, they were restored to their original position of opening upward. -Database Manager
