Notes

2005-01-08 - Information identifying this instrument from the Austin Organs, Inc. web site, accessed December 31, 2004: http://www.austinorgans.com/organ-research.htm. -Database Manager

2007-11-25 - Updated through online information from Mark Funk. -- I am a former organist and technician with the instrument. It is a grand organ with a full ensemble tone I have not replicated elsewhere. The nameplate states 1958, but according to another former organist, Frank Crook, the organ was not playable until early 1959. This organ has an antiphonal in the balcony with exposed pipes. The majority of the organ is up front with the organist with no exposed pipes up front; the pipes are in side chambers. It speaks into the chancel. The chancel is an acoustic blessing. Maurice Garabrandt (Former St. Thomas New York organist) assisted with the specs and design. -Database Manager

2017-02-18 - Updated by Meghan Meloy Ness, who has heard or played the organ. <br>Stephen Warner of the Holden Pipe Organ Company completed restoration work on the pedal division in February 2017. The original pedal pneumatics were swapped for new pneumatics. -Database Manager
