2010-02-11 - Updated through online information from Donald R. Thompson. -- The Geo. Jardine organ in Christ Episcopal Church in Marlboro, NY was not destroyed in 1962 as stated. With permission of the church leaders, I removed the organ and reassembled it in my home at 77 Suncliff Road, Glenford, NY in about July of 1962. It has been in operation ever since. My wife Marion was an organist since she was in high school in the 1940s and she still plays this organ in our home. I am an engineer by profession and have kept the organ in operation for the last 48 years. I just came upon this organ database and thought it would be good to update your records. We are also planning to sell the house this spring and plan to leave the organ installed in the house. I would love to find a way to make pipe organ enthusiasts aware of this; an organ lover would continue to keep this little gem in good condition as well as enjoying it themselves. -Database Manager

2022-07-31 - The Jardine was evidently originally installed in the 1837 church, and survived the December 1857 fire. The present brick church was built in 1858, and the Jardine was re-installed there and served until 1962. -Jim Stettner
