Unidentified American builder, mid 19th century. Case oak-grain-painted over white; dummy facade pipes of wood, originally gold-leafed, and arranged in flats across front and sides. Recessed keykesk enclosed by sliding doors (replacements). Manual has ivory covered naturals with plain flat wood fronts and ebony accidentals. 4 turned and black-stained stops on each side, flat engraved faces. Stoplist:

(missing face; Duliana?)
Stop'd Diapason Treble

Principal
Pedal

Pulldown pedals, no independent pipes. Pedalboard has square notches to left and right, accessing a disconnected stop-changing device? A rectangular slot in right pedal jamb probably for a former swell pedal. Two narrow vertical slots over pedalboard for another device, perhaps for player to pump bellows.

Open Diapason has zinc basses, painted and showing traces of gold pinstriping; lowest pipe inscribed "3rd Scale". Lowest accessible pipe in supposed fifteenth rank is tapered and inscribed "Flag" [Flageolet?]. Some pipes may have been replaced. Now electrically winded; old hand-pumped winding system in place, pump handle at rear of right side (handle broken).

Modern plaque: "Donated by Tottenville Evangelical Free Church January 1972.
