2008-11-30 - Updated through on-line information from Paul Carson. -- Has been completely restored, and serviced by the Austin Organ Company. Several parts have been shipped in Hartford to include the shutter engine , pipe work. This is organ is serviced by Bill Hesterman, of the Austin Organ Company. Mr. Hesterman lives in Salt Lake City Utah and makes the trip at least once a year to service. All about the organ is original, the console and pipe chest are Mission Oak, which was a custom order in match the interior of the Church. -Database Manager

2023-12-20 - Transcription of main Paper Plaque on Pipe Cabinet: THE AUSTIN PIPE ORGAN This AUSTIN PIPE ORGAN was donated to St. John's United Methodist Church in Kingman, Arizona in 1926 by J. Wat Thompson, a local rancher. The total price of the Organ including freight and installation was $3,650.00. It was removed from the church in 1968 and stored at different sites. During this time, some of it became lost, and lots of it was damaged or destroyed. It was donated to this museum in 1974. Restoration and installation was done by Willam E. Negus in 1978-79. In December, 1979, it was ready for its first performance! Ellen Farley, who was the organist when it was used in the Methodist Church, played it at Christmas time. Others who contributed to the restoration were: Joseph Malaszewski Robert Hopeman Karl Prumers Wilbur Arthur Mohave Community College Music Class -Samuel Rhine
