2005-02-15 - Identified from company publications as edited and expanded in *The Hook Opus List 1829-1935*, ed. William T. Van Pelt (Organ Historical Society, 1991). -Database Manager

2024-01-30 - Updated through online information from Scot L. Huntington: The church is incorrectly listed in the Hook opus list as "First Presbyterian". It was installed in the rear gallery of the new gothic church of granite, designed by Leopold Eidlitz. The church sat 1,100, and replaced an 18th-century frame church heavily damaged by fire in 1849 which contained a two-manual Hall & Erben instrument built in 1824. The 1851 organ was replaced by an 1870 organ by E. & G.G. Hook, having 3-manuals and 40 registers. The monumental and architecturally significant church was destroyed by a collapse of the tower on Thursday, January 25, 2024. -Jim Stettner
