Notes

2005-02-28 - Identified from company publications as edited and expanded in The Hook Opus List 1829-1935, ed. William T. Van Pelt (Organ Historical Society, 1991). -Database Manager

2005-06-25 - On-line update from Lawrence Bishop -- While there are currently sections of Lee known as South Lee and East Lee, there is now no North Lee. St. Mary's RC church is on Main Street in Lee. In 1968, while employed by Berkshire Organ Company, we did a cleaning of the instrument which at that time was a two manual Estey with electro-pneumatic action. I don't know if the present building dates from the vintage of the 1865 Hook. It would appear that the organ no longer exists in Lee. -Database Manager

2010-11-02 - Updated through on-line information from Marilyn Polson. -- The published history of Lee, Mass. does not list the date of the building but it probably corresponds with the date of the Hook organ. It was replaced in 1939 by Estey Organ Co. Opus 3098 of two manuals. -Database Manager
