Notes

2005-03-01 - Identified from company publications as edited and expanded in The Hook Opus List 1829-1935, ed. William T. Van Pelt (Organ Historical Society, 1991). -Database Manager

2006-01-10 - Updated through online information from Steve Lawson. -- A Google search on "Rev. P. F. O'Hare" -- the name listed for Op. 983 -- shows that he was at one time Rector of St. Anthony of Padua RC in Brooklyn. There are (3) St. John's Churches. However, entry #50 on the website Roman Catholic Churches -- Brooklyn, NY (http://home.earthlink.net/~desmondcorp/tim/churches.htm) for "Queen of All Saints" shows that it was "named St. John's Chapel until 1913." It was also established in 1879, and the Hook is dated 1880. Thus, I believe this organ actually was installed at St. John's RC CHAPEL (now called Queen of All Saints). -Database Manager
