2022-07-08 - The church was known as the church attended by "Uncle Sam," Samuel Wilson; he and his brothers served as trustees of the church and supplied the brick used in building the original church. The church has closed; the organ, Steinway grand and other equipment and fixtures were sold at auction in March 2013; the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute took possession of the facility in 2014. -Jeff Scofield
