2021-06-04 - In 2006, the Deer Park United congregation celebrated its 125th anniversary. The next year, the congregation was told that the owners of the Imperial Oil Building next door would no longer supply building heat after July 2008. Due to the financial inability to maintain the large and aging building, the congregation de-sanctified the building at 129 St. Clair Avenue West in June 2008. The organ was relocated to Holy Trinity Anglican Church at that time. -Jeff Scofield

The stoplist may be found on the Lawrence Phelps & Associates website listed above. If you scroll down, there
is a quote from Lawrence Phelps himself describing it as one in a series which culminated in the four manual,
126 Rank Casavant [Opus 3145] in Providence, RI. Comparing the photos of the two instruments, the family resemblance
is remarkable. The casework in Providence is nearly identical in design to that of the instrument in Toronto, but almost twice as large. Another interesting similarity is that both instruments were installed in the same location in their respective churches (i.e. on the main floor in the north transept to the left of the altar).

Question : Is either (or both) of these two instruments discussed in the new bio of Lawrence Phelps that the OHS Press is publishing ?
