2005-07-24 - Online update from Dennis Huthnance -- The mechanical action was replaced by an electro-pneumatic action in the 1930s. This instrument was damaged by a violent storm in the late 1960s and the Great division became unplayable. In 1984 it was decided to replace the instrument by a new organ built by Schlicker. The original Pilcher organ case and console were retained in the new instrument along with the entire vox humana and several of the pedal division pipes. -Database Manager
