2005-04-06 - Identified through information in Volume V p. 115 of the Pilcher factory ledger and the list of Pilcher organs typed by William E. Pilcher of Louisville. For more information see the document referenced below. -Database Manager

2009-08-11 - Updated through online information from Tim Lett. -- Original Pilcher preserved for the most part. The organ was originally tubular-pneumatic. Cave Pipe Organ Co. Indianapolis performed the restoration in 1986 and 1987 and converted the instrument to electro-pneumatic. -Database Manager

2016-02-01 - Updated through online information from Tim Lett.
I gave the re-dedicatory recital on this instrument on August 30, 1987. At this time the organ is no longer used in worship services. As far as I know the instrument is still playable but it has not been used for at least two years that I know of. -Database Manager

2019-05-15 - Updated by Tim Lett, listing this web site as a source of information: fccperu.org.

Information in the April 2019 church newsletter indicates that the organ is not playable and will be removed. This was a fine original Henry Pilcher\'s Sons instrument that was rebuilt in 1987. The current ministers of the church and members of the congregation did not appreciate after the departure of the church organist several years ago. The organ had not been played in several years and has deteriorated beyond repair according to the newsletter. The current music ministry is geared toward good time rock and roll music. -Database Manager
