2005-04-06 - The College used the organ until 1915 when it was sold to the First Baptist Church in Ames. The Baptists used the Pilcher in its original configuration until 1950 when they built a new church. William Harrison Barnes was brought in as consultant at that -Database Manager

2007-10-12 - Updated through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ replaced a previous organ in "Old Main" which was sold for $300.00. The Chapel in Morrill Hall was on the 2nd floor over the library. The room was laid-out in an Akron plan, and the organ was recessed into a chamber on the front, right wall. Pilcher was transferred to First Baptist (old) in Ames and last played there on May 1, 1949. -Database Manager
