2009-12-13 - Updated through online information from David WIlliamson. -- This organ was originally electro-pneumatic. In 1958 Norville Hall rebuilt the organ with new electric chests and a very slow relay. For some reason he took the top octave of the Pedal Bourdon. The pipework is in good shape, and the 4' Flute Harmonic has an extra octave on top for some bizarre unification. The Dulciana is the softest I have ever heard. A set of used chimes was added in the 1970's by Edward Carter. -Database Manager
