2008-01-01 - Updated through online information from Linwood E. Bratcher, Jr. -- All Saints' Episcopal Church joined congregations with St. James Episcopal Church which was located in Kannapolis, NC. The two congregations became one in 1970-1971. The two congregations came together to form the "new" All Saints' Episcopal Church. The new congregation purchased property on Lake Concord Rd and a new facility was built and dedicated in 1973-1974. At that time the "old" All Saints' building on Spring street was sold. It has been a resturant and has been occupied by several congregations. At the current time the building houses "The Covenant Church". The old sanctuary in now a meeting room and the old organ is no longer there. The space where the organ was located was changed to a baptismal pool at some point after it was sold. There is no information available as to what happened to the Pilcher organ. -Database Manager
