2010-05-30 - Updated through online information from Michael Freeman. -- I remember going over to the church to look at the organ with Mr. Garland as the church was interested in rebuilding the organ. The console was the original with original drawknobs, keyboards and pedal board. The organ was in chambers on either side of the gallery with no exposed pipes. I remember the organ had and 8' Trumpet on the Great that was not original and more like a Festival Trumpet but the original Trumpet pipes were in pipe trays under the chest and could be put back into place. The organ had a nice scale 16 Open Wood, Bourdon and Lieblich Gedeckt. It was in 1992 or 1993 that we visited this organ and it was still being used regularly. The organ was replaced with a Visser Rowland around 1996 or 1997. The present organist tells me there may be 2 or 3 stops from the Pilcher in this instrument. The church is currently trying to raise funds for a new 3 manual 60 rank Garland organ. -Database Manager
