2009-08-31 - Updated through online information from Dr. Gregory Hamilton. -- The organ has undergone a substantial alteration by an unknown builder. The instrument now has about 20 ranks, and a two-manual cheap quality console. Carved oak three manual original console is still in gallery, but unused. Organ is playable, but many notes missing due to leather and wind problems. -Database Manager
2010-01-13 - Updated through online information from Thomas Martin. -- Many components of original console were lost or ruined by a former employee. Currently attempting to return original console to operation. Console shell has been refurbished and similar Pilcher keyboards have been located and restored. New AGO pedalboard and new jambs with Harris drawknobs have been made. New Peterson Multiplex relay and MSP combination action are on hand. No tonal alterations have been made, and other than mechanical problems, the organ remains a good example of this type of instrument freestanding in a good room behind a facade fence. All chests still have original leather and there are a number of dead notes due to bad leather on the primaries. There are plans to address this. The note pneumatics seem to be okay for now. Many of the stop actions have been releathered, as have the facade chests. The reservoirs were releathered in the 1980s but are okay for now. Foundation/settling issues and damage from Hurricane Ike (2008) have pulled the chassis and pipe upright supports out of square. Foundation work slated for 2010 will hopefully correct this. The above details reflect the renovated original console, not the current temporary console. -Database Manager
2016-07-26 - Updated through online information from Felipe Gasper. <br>All ranks are now playable after significant renovations, though there are around 35 dead notes throughout the pipework, mostly due to deteriorating chest leather. The original console frame is being refitted with updated electronics and keyboards "rescued from a similar Pilcher some years ago; that work is targeted for completion during summer of 2016. -Database Manager
