Notes

2005-06-08 - This entry represents the installation of a new organ. Identified through online information from Paul Grimwood. -- Guilmant gave a recital on the first phase instrument on September 18, 1893. This organ was extensively rebuilt in the late 1890s, to provide a detached console. The organ was totally destroyed in the fire that consumed the church on June 20, 1906. This church was located on Jackson Street, Hamilton. Central Presbyterian still exists, and was opened in 1908 in a new location. This is supposedly the largest spec list which survives for a Marshall Brothers instrument. A photograph exists of the rebuilt instrument, also of Guilmant at the console of the first phase. -Database Manager
