Notes

2005-07-23 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner based on personal knowledge of the organ. -- This organ is an amalgamation of several used organs, mostly Wicks, which have been refurbished and installed by Dr. Carl Dodrill of the Pipe Organ Foundation with volunteer help from parishioners and Foundation volunteers. The tonal design was conceived by Clinton B. Meadway in conjunction with Music Director Cheryl Storey, and based upon available pipework from the used organs and Foundation stock inventory. Tonal regulation and finishing were by Clinton B. Meadway and James R. Stettner of Puget Sound Pipe Organs. The dedication is to be played in Sept. 2005 by Dr. J. Melvin Butler of Seattle's St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral. The Great, Swell, and Pedal are at the front of the church with the Swell enclosed at the center, and the Great and Pedal divided on either side. A 4-rank Antiphonal division is unenclosed on a ledge at the back of the sanctuary. The organ also contains pipework from a 1920s Reuter, a 1931 Wangerin, a ca. 1905 Kimball, and some ca. 1972 Stinkens pipework. The console was a used Kimball from First Presbyterian in Spokane, Washington, and had been added there in the 1940s to replace that church's 1910 Estey console. -Database Manager
