Notes

2005-08-07 - Identified through online information from Weston Harris. -- The original church was the oldest remaining church building in Los Angeles (from 1868). After an arson fire in 1964, a new building was constructed and prepared for a very large performance instrument. Casavant and Aeolian Skinner were the favorites to build the organ. Funding became unavailable, so a temporary small organ built by local builders Larry Abbott and Pete Sieker was acquired. This remained simply placed without casework raw in the church balcony until 2001, when it was rebuilt by Weston Harris and Thomas McDonough. -Database Manager
