2004-10-30 - In this stunningly modern building, the main floor of the church is 17 feet below sidewalk level, and is clearly visible to passers-by through street level windows. These are high enough so as not to be distracting to those sitting in the church. The Klais tracker organ visually dominates the space like a huge banner in one corner of the room, its facade of polished tin pipes boldly proclaiming its function. There is even a window in the corner through which people outside can see the back of the case and the oak pipes of the Great 16' Pommer and Pedal 16' Subbass. The facade contains upside-down pipes. -Database Manager
