2005-10-02 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was originally built for the Alaska Theatre in Seattle. It was installed here at St. Paul's Episcopal Church without tonal changes by Balcom and Vaughan of Seattle in 1931. In 1969, Balcom and Vaughan rebuilt the organ as a large, II-manual instrument with a new console. The size was increased to 27 ranks. The original Skinner drawknob console went to Tom Kaasa of Seattle. In 1992, the church signed a contract with Marceau & Associates of Portland, Oregon to again rebuild and enlarge the organ. -Database Manager

Skinner/Aeolian-Skinner Opus List*, by Sand Lawn and Allen Kinzey (Organ Historical Society, 1997), and included here through the kind permission of Sand Lawn: Skinner Opus 217, relocated from Alaska Theater, Seattle, Washington. Tonal changes and new two manual console by Balcom & Vaughan in 1968; after water damage in 1991 removed and sold for parts; Choir chest in Warburton residence, Skykomish, WA; replaced by three manual Marceau. -Database Manager
