2019-12-13 - From the NYC AGO NYC Organ Project: In 1907, the Ernest M. Skinner Company rebuilt the 1876 Roosevelt organ in the Chantry. The organ was installed in a newly constructed shallow chamber with the Swell below the opening and the Great and Pedal above and behind the opening. Skinner retained the Roosevelt case as a facade above the two-manual console that was built into the case. It seems likely that Skinner replaced the original windchests with his company's electro-pneumatic chests. -Database Manager
