2021-04-03 - The contract was signed on December 7, 1886 for installation by March 1, 1887. The cost of the organ was $1,500 plus the old organ then in the church. Alexander McMillan signed as the church's representative, and the church agreed to pay the transport costs of the new organ as well as the room and board of the man sent to install the instrument. Attached to the contract held in the American Organ Archives, is a sketch with dimensions of the arch where the organ would sit, and the agreement to return the sketch of the case that Odell would be sending for approval. The organ was Style No. 8. -Scot Huntington
