2005-12-03 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was sold to Mrs. Joan Ruud of Mercer Island in 19?? for $10,000.00. She was never able to have the organ installed in her home, and it was in storage in Seattle. In 1993, she was forced to abandon the organ, and gave it back to Balcom and Vaughan. It was removed from the storage warehouse on Western Avenue in February, 1993. The pipes and console were gradually sold or utilized in other projects. -Database Manager

NOTES
This organ was originally built for the Mercer Island residence of Dr. Percy Scott.

It was sold to Mrs. Joan Ruud – also of Mercer Island – in 19__ for $10,000.00. Mrs. Ruud was
never able to have the organ installed in her home, and in 1993 she was forced to abandon the
organ. It was removed from storage on Western Avenue in Seattle by Balcom and Vaughan in February,
1993. The pipework was kept by Balcom and Vaughan.
