2021-11-17 - The primary business of Arthur Henry Lamborn (1871-1935) was as a broker and dealer of raw and unrefined sugar. He was originally from Philadelphia, then moved to Montclair, N.J. Arthur married Florence M. LaFarge and had 6 children: John, Arthur, Jr. Richard, David, Ruth and Mrs. William Steadman of Scarsdale. Later divorced Florence and gave all his money to Gert, his second wife. He started Juniper Place on the Vineyard, sometimes referred to as the "Lamborn Mansion." Had seven children. Lived on 250 Upper Mountain Avenue, Montclair, NJ. "Then came another fairly large estate, owned by the Lamborn family. He was the Sugar King. It once was the Zorn property - it was called Juniper Place, and was later occupied by St. Pierre School of Sport. Then it was bought by Henry Cronig and a lot of changes were made there. Broken up into house lots and the houses were torn down and switched all around." -Jeff Scofield
