2022-05-02 - The work proposed by Aeolian-Skinner in 1951 consisted of the following: Great 1. The Great 4' Octave was to be rescaled from C25 to C61. The pipes were only to be sent back to the factory. 2. The 12th and 15th to be rescaled and revoiced throughout, and pipes, top boards, and rack boards were to be returned to the factory. 3. A new IV Fourniture was to be installed in place of the present 4 Rank Mixture. Top and Rack Boards to be returned to the factory. 4. A III Cymbal to be installed in place of the old First Open Diapason. The pipes were to be given to someone for salvage. Top Boards and Rack Boards to be returned to the factory. In addition, a template showing the location of the twelve offset basses to be made and sent to the factory. Swell 1. A IV Plein Jeu was to be made in place of the old 8' First Open Diapason. The pipes were to be used later in the Pedal. Top and Rack Boards to be sent back to the factory and a template was to be made for the 12 offset basses. 2. The 2-2/3, 1-3/5, and 1-1/3 were to be revoiced and rescaled to form an IV Cornet. Rack Boards and Top Boards to be sent back to the factory. 3. The 16' Fagotto was to be sent back and revoiced. 4. A new 8' Trompette was to be installed in place of the present 8' Cornopean, and the old pipes, top boards, and rack boards were to be sent back. 5. The old 4' Clarion was to be revoiced as a 4' Clairon. Top Boards, Rack Boards, and pipes sent back to the factory. Choir 1. The present 4' Trumpet to be reset so that it speaks at 4' Pitch. 2. The old III Dulciana Cornet complete with Top and Rack Boards to be returned to the factory for rescaling and revoicing as a III Zimbel Mixtur. Pedal 1. The old Swell 8' First Open Diapason to be used as an 8' Principal. 2. The old Choir 8' Diapason to be used as a unit stop playing at 4', 2-2/3, and 2'.
