2006-01-09 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Originally Estey Op. 978 (1912), built for this building which was then Broadway Presbyterian. It later changed its name to First United Presbyterian. They sold the building to a new congregation - and the building was renamed Broadway Christian. When the Christian congregation also dwindled by the early 1990's, they sold it to Abundant Life Pentacostal Church. The new congregation had no use for the pipe organ, and in fact they added a dropped ceiling to the sanctury which placed the chamber above the ceiling. The organ was offered for sale in 1993, and was sold in 1995 to Don Stagg of Blaine, Washington who installed it in his home. -Database Manager
