2006-01-09 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- The Wurlitzer seems not to have been an original installation. It was a style 135A, and was installed in the right chamber. Its ultimate disposition is unknown. -Database Manager
2013-02-05 - Updated through online information from William Dunklin. -- Style 135A equipped with a "piano console" in which the lower manual was 7 octaves. The stops tabs were arranged in a straight line rather than in horseshoe curves. The Wurlitzer records show 111 Style 135A organs built, all between 1919 and 1924. Since the Avalon opened in April 1926, this organ must have been purchased used. The only other Style 135A in Washington, opus 481, would have been available from the recently closed Ray Theatre in Olympia. It is possible that this is that organ. -Database Manager
