2006-05-19 - Updated through online information from Peter Davis. -- I was organist at Parkside from 1986-89, at which time the organ was releathered by Delaware Organ Co., who had Perflex-ed it in 1972. The original Skinner console was replaced with a Möller console (3 manual) about 1956, at which time a Marr & Colton 16' Tuba was added to the Pedal. Delaware made significant tonal changes in 1972 also, part of a total destruction revision to "modernize" the organ. The original French Horn (GT) and Vox Humana (SW) and Harp (CH) were removed. The Harmonic Flute (GT) was put onto the Vox channel as a 2-2/3 (SW). Fortunately, Delaware's "vision" of the complete rebuild was never completed, and some of the original Skinner beauty survives. -Database Manager
