2021-02-08 - Name of church is Community Church of Wurtsboro. It is a RCA church. Signature pipe of the organ states the organ was built 11/13/1854. The voicer was R.M.Ferri. The builder was John H. O'Dell. The organ was originally a two-keyboard organ. The swell part of the organ is missing as well as the original cabinet. The present cabinet was made after the organ was moved into this church. It is speculated that the original organ was too big to fit into its present space. One pipe is marked St. Mary's and another pipe is marked Monticello. It is speculated that the organ originated from St. Mary's church in Monticello. IN July, 1992, the original bellows were rebuilt to repair a large hole. The manual keys and pedal keys were bushed, the ivories repaired and the organ cleaned and tuned. The cost of this work was $3,500.
