2023-04-18 - **From the minutes of a special meeting of the Vestry of All Saints Church, Wynnewood, December 8, 1929:** "The rector repeated his announcement from the chancel that the donor of the organ had secided on a Skinner, had authorized him to proceed with the awarding of the contract, and had agreed to pay the interest on any funds the Church may have to pay to the builders before the donor's payments to the Church are due. He added that the organ will probably not be ready for assembly until May or June." **Minutes of a regular meeting of the Vestry of All Saints Church, Wynnewood, February 5, 1930: ** "A discussion of the new organ and the desirability of additional diapason followed. It was moved and approved that the offer of $500 for the old organ be accepted unless the Rector can arrange within ten days to raise $500; in any way, except by an appeal to the Parish as a whole, in which case he can use his discretion as to its disposal. "A motion was made and approved to place the proceeds of the sale of the old organ in the Building Fund, also the total held in the special organ fund be transferred to the Building Fund; so that the total cost of the new organ, including the special diapason, and changes to the chancel, may be paid from the Building Fund." Funds were pledged in 1929, but the organ was not installed until 1930. **Church records dated November 1, 1930** report that "there is a credit from teh Skinner Organ Co. of $38.50, thus making the entire price of organ $14,961.50." Additionally the church spent $5197.45 for "alterations a/c of organ" and for "architect's charge" of $1156.70." -Paul R. Marchesano
