The cost of the instrument was $7,786.00. It was paid for as a gift by Mrs. C. Montague Cooke, Jr. A plaque on the console bears the following inscription: In Loving Memory of JAMES and CARRIE H. LEFFERTS and of CHARLES M. and ANNA C. COOKE Given by Their Daughter, Lila Lefferts Cooke; Dedicated Nov. 22, 1942 The organ is entirely chambered. The III-manual and pedal console was to be made of any native Hawaiian wood. One unusual feature of the organ was that no Unison Off couplers were provided. However, the usual Austin divisional cancel bars were placed over the stopkeys of each division. The Choir 8' Rohr Flute has inverted mouths. The Great III Mixture breaks only twice from its beginning composition of 15-19-22. SOURCES: Austin opus list and original contract [Received from James R. Stettner 2010-10-11.]
