The Swell is mostly destroyed with pipes seriously wilted or actually melted. The blower and relay are destroyed. The exposed Great survived. It is not yet determined if the Great windchest is salvageable or not. They will be returning tomorrow to remove the Great pipework and do further assessment. -Database Manager
2014-02-09 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- A bid was given by the Marceau firm of Seattle for building a new organ utilizing what pipework survived, the original console, and new windchests and other new/recycled pipework. John Moir dba Balcom and Vaughan under-bid the Marceau bid and was going to provide a "new" organ. But ultimately, the church opted to acquire an electronic substitute and divert left-over insurance monies for the organ to other needs. What is to become of the surviving console, chests, and pipes in not yet known. -Database Manager
