2011-04-26 - The congregation formed in 1925 after the minister and the majority of the consistory at First CRC were deposed by the Christian Reformed Church because of the doctrine of Common Grace. The congregation voted to re-enter the denomination in 1945, and became known as Grace CRC. The organ was purchased in 1936 after a fire destroyed the church building in 1935. The congregation relocated to 1724 Whites Road, also in Kalamazoo, in 1988. C. V. Barden Company refurbished the organ and installed it in the new sanctuary. The building at the Park Street location has been revamped and is used as an office building. -Database Manager
