2006-10-21 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for Seattle's Hippodrome (later, Palace-Hippodrome) Theatre. It was a style 135B. The original console had a straight stop-rail, not a horseshoe shape. It only served in this location for 13 years. It was relocated to West Seattle Christian Church in 1933 by Balcom and Vaughan where it was installed as is. In 1955, tonal additions and changes were made in attempt to make the organ more "church-like." A 4-rank free-reed Echo division was also added as a memorial. In 1999, the organ was removed and dispersed to various parties. -Database Manager
