2006-10-25 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ facade spanned nearly the full width of the rear gallery. It was an 11-sectional facade containing 87 pipes arranged: 10-5-10-5-7-13-7-5-10-5-10. The "10's" and "7's" were pipe flats; and the "5's" and the "13" were towers. The organ was replaced with a new Wicks in 1960. The Kimball facade remained, though most of the pipes were removed for improved tonal egress. -Database Manager

Bunch of Balcom & Vaughan Pipe Organs of Seattle, Washington. The exact nomenclature of stops and controls is not verifiable. In a catalogue listing of Seattle's pipe organs assembled in 1957, the total number of pipes given for this organ was 924, however no record has been found giving a “pipes-per-rank” distribution. The distribution given above adds-up to a total of 914 pipes. The organ was a rear gallery installation, and the façade spanned the full width of the rear gallery. It was 11-sectional containing 87 pipes arranged: 10–5–10–5–7–13–7-5–10–5-10. The “10's” and “7's” were pipe flats. The “5's” and the “13” were towers. The organ was replaced with a new 14-rank Wicks in 1960. The original façade was retained, although many of the original façade pipes were removed to storage in the tower. [Received from James R.
