Notes

2006-10-30 - Identified from company publications as edited and expanded in The Hook Opus List 1829-1935, ed. William T. Van Pelt (Organ Historical Society, 1991). (Source: James Cook. Date: 2005-02-16) -Database Manager

2007-05-07 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ was free-standing in a case at the front center of the room. The facade was mostly just a pipe fence. In 1935, when the congregation had moved to their new edifice and purchasd a new E.M. Skinner, the Hook & Hastings was removed by Charles W. Allen working with Seattle Kimball Rep. Arthur D. Longmore. It was sent to the Kimball factory for revoicing on higher pressure, and placed on new chests as an essentially new organ for University Congregational Church. The building later became University Center Baptist after which time the organ suffered smoke damage from a fire. It was ultimately removed by Balcom and Vaughan and rebuilt/enlarged for Manito Presbyterian in Spokane, Washington. -Database Manager
