2004-10-30 - Installed by Schoenstein Organ Co. (Austin Rep.) in Oct 1914. Cleaned with new console in 1962. Damaged in 1989 earthquake. Shipped to Austin in Hartford, CT for restoration. Work now stopped, and future uncertain (1995). -Database Manager
2008-07-31 - Updated through on-line information from Timothy Tikker. -- The organ is in storage in Brooks Hall, an underground facility in front of Civic Auditorium. The organ has been completely restored, except for those parts destroyed in the 1989 earthquake, which have not yet been replaced. The organ's final home is not yet determined. The on-line video gives a history of the organ, and calls attention to a campaign to return the organ to its original location in Civic Auditorium (now Bill Graham Auditorium). The organ's present console dates from c. 1964 -- built by Austin. -Database Manager
