Notes

2006-11-28 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was a used organ originally built for Seattle's Society Theatre, which reopened as the Broadway Theatre in 1921. The organ was purchased in 1934 for $1,200 and replaced the original 1-manual, T-P Estey of 1913 which was taken in trade. The Kimball was installed by Arthur D. Longmore, Kimball representative. It appears that a Vox Humana was added at the time of the transplant since the organ is documented as having been originally a 2/7 - and all 7 original ranks are still present. The organ was electrified by Balcom and Vaughan in 1956 as their opus 627. Mention is made of the offset vox Humana chest in B and V documents. -Database Manager
