Notes

2007-01-28 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was an electrification of the existing 1912 Kimball without tonal changes or additions. A new Klann console was added and placed in the right gallery. Even the original Pedal-to-Pedal Octave coupler was retained and the extended Pedal ranks (42 pipes) still operate, though the top 2 notes (31 & 32) have no pipes for the octave coupler since the original compass was 30 notes. The organ was rendered silent by a musical coup in the early-to-mid 1990s. A 3-manual electronic was installed with the console on the main floor. There was talk about making the Kimball pipes playable from the electronic, but that never happened. The Kimball is extant but silent - though fully functional (January, 2007). -Database Manager

2010-07-01 - Updated through online information from Robert Collins. -- The instrument is played [again], but only about twice a year. It has been recently tuned and maintained by Philip A. Larson, Washington Pipe Organ, of Seattle, Washington. The console now sits center below the facade pipes. There was no sign of any electronic organ, on the main floor or elsewhere, when I visited. -Database Manager
