NOTES
The contract for the organ was signed in November of 1962. The price was $6,350.00 which
included a $600.00 credit for the previous organ taken in trade. It is not known what this
was, but it is not believed to have been a pipe organ.

The organ is installed in the rear gallery and is entirely expressive in a chamber on the
central axis of the church. Several small differences exist between the organ as contracted
and the organ as completed. On the contract, the starting pitches of the Great II Rausch
Pfeife were 1' + 2/3' [22-26]. In reality, they are 1⅓' + 1' [19-22]. Similarly, the II
Pedal Mixture was to have been 1⅓' + 1' [19-22], but was wired as 2⅔' + 2' [12-15]. The
other discrepancy involves the 'soft action' on the Pedal 16' Eko Bass. As contracted it
was to have affected notes 1-20, but as executed, it only affects notes 1 – 12, which is
more traditional.

The entire Spill Flöte is of metal, with the 16' and 8' octaves being canistered metal rather
than stopped wood. The Hautbois has metal caps with holes in the sides inserted into the bells
atop the resonators. Corresponding holes in the bells line-up with those in the caps, and the
timbre and volume of the stop can be 'adjusted' by turning the cap and opening/closing the holes.
