2016-09-01 - Great is enclosed with Swell; there are two swell pedals, though - one for Nave Shades and one for Choir Shades; the last service for the congregation was held August 27, 2000; the building is now home to Redeemer Community Church. -Database Manager
2024-08-26 - Updated through online information from Rebecca Strauch (August 25, 2024): South Avondale Baptist Church disbanded in 2000. The church buildings and furnishings, including the organ console, pipes and mechanicals, were sold to New Hope Baptist Church in 2001. At some point between then and Dec 2014, the M.P. Mӧller Opus 5966 console (additional Instrument ID 26099) was removed from the sanctuary. This is verified from photos. The sanctuary was next sold to Redeemer Community Church in 2015. Photos from inside the sanctuary confirm that the console is gone. The location of it is not known. Also not known is if the pipes, wind chest, and other mechanicals are still located in a room above and behind the "altar/baptistry" area at the front of the sanctuary. -Jim Stettner
