2007-06-02 - Identified through on-line information from Louis Playford. -- Originally installed in St. John Lutheran Church, Atlanta, Georgia. The nameplate reads "John Brown/Wilmington/Del." A label on a bearer reads, "Rev. Nussbaum/German Lutheran Church/Atlanta, Ga." After the church relocated, the organ was acquired by Joseph Page of Marietta, Georgia and set up in his home. Later it was placed in storage. In 1985 it was acquired by Louis Playford and moved to Augusta, Georgia where it was again placed in storage. There are four chests: one slider chest each for the Great and Swell, and two small ventil chests for the pedal. The case front is of oak. There are no sides. The swell box and blowing apparatus are missing. This organ does not appear on the John Brown opus list. -Database Manager
