2014-11-21 - Updated through online information from Austin D. Caldwell. -- The original organ cost $1,500 in 1908. Andrew Carnegie payed $750 (half the cost), contingent upon the congregation raising the other $750 (which they successfully achieved).<br>In 1974, the organ was rebuilt at a cost of $17,500, making the organ equivalent to a $30,000 organ. Chimes for the organ exist, and are located on the right wall of the church sanctuary. Source Information: I have personally played this organ, and regularly see it used, as I am an attendee at College Hill United Methodist (Episcopal) Church. -Database Manager
