2007-01-30 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ at St. Rose as I saw it in April 1988 was housed in a large case in the rear gallery of the room. The stoplist was clearly not turn-of-the-century, though the Welte-Whalon organ Co, Newport, RI. nameplate was present at the console. The organ was 23 independent registers, 30 speaking stops, 32 ranks, and 1,761 pipes: Gt: 16,8,8,8,8,4,4,2-2/3,2,IV. Sw: 8,8,8,4,4,2,II Ses.,III PJ,8. Ped: 16,16,16,16,8,8,8,4,4,IV,16. The rector was Fr. William Sharkey and the organist was Dan Ryan. -Database Manager
